Scan a paper guest list with your camera

On an iPhone, SeatSpot's Paste a list box takes text from the camera. Tap and hold the box, choose Scan Text and point the phone at a printed or handwritten list.

How it works

  1. Open Paste a list of names.
  2. Tap and hold the box and choose Scan Text.
  3. Point the camera at the list and insert the text.
  4. Check how each line was read before anything is added.

Good to know

  • A handwritten list works too.
  • A small tip above the box reminds you the first time.
  • Scanned text goes through the same preview as any pasted list, so you see how each line was read.
  • On the free plan the import is all or nothing against the 8-guest limit.

The camera scan is described for iPhone. Pasting a list works on every phone.

Can it read handwriting?
