SeatSpot

Plus-ones linked to their host

In SeatSpot a plus-one is linked to their host. Add one from any guest's screen, name them later if you do not know who they are yet, and they follow the host in lists, counts and seating.

Plus-ones linked to their host: screen from the SeatSpot app

How it works

  1. Open the host guest and add their +1.
  2. Leave the plus-one's name for later if you do not know it. Paste a list does the same with +1.
  3. Seat them like anyone else. A chair is waiting for them.
  4. Rename them when you learn who they are.

Good to know

  • The link is stored on the plus-one, pointing at the host, so it can never disagree with itself.
  • Deleting the host deletes the plus-one, and bulk delete does the same.
  • Unnamed plus-ones keep their card and their line on the welcome board, because they will walk in.
  • Plan check never flags plus-ones as repeated names.
  • Plus-ones are part of the free plan.

Common questions

What happens to a plus-one if I delete the host?

They are deleted with the host.

Can I add a plus-one from a pasted list?

Yes. Write John Smith +1 and the app creates John and a plus-one to name later.

Do plus-ones get a seat?

Yes. They count and are seated like any guest.
